Installing the Edgewise RMM Agent
This guide explains how to download and install our Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) agent on your Windows system. Due to stricter security settings, some browsers might flag the .exe file as potentially unsafe, but this file is safe. Please follow the steps below to download, keep, and run the agent.
Prerequisites
Windows OS (Windows 10 or later)
Active internet connection
1. Navigate to the Download Link
Click on the link provided by our support team. When you arrive at the page, locate and select the Download button. This should initiate the download of the RMM agent installer (a .exe
file).
2. Handling Security Warnings
Microsoft Edge
Start the Download: Click on the download link. If you see a pop-up at the bottom or top of the browser saying the file was blocked, find the 3 dots next to the download.
Select Keep: Choose Keep to confirm you trust the file.
Show More Options: After clicking Keep, you might see an option to expand or "Show more" if Edge still warns you.
Keep Anyway: Confirm your choice again.

Google Chrome
Start the Download: Click on the download link.
Keep the File: If Chrome flags the file, locate the message at the bottom bar.
"Keep" or "Keep Anyway": Confirm that you trust the file by selecting the Keep option.
3. Running the Agent
After you have successfully downloaded the file:
Locate the .exe File: Check your browser’s download tray or the "Downloads" folder on your PC.
Double-Click to Run: If prompted by Windows Defender SmartScreen, choose Run Anyway.
Follow the On-Screen Instructions: The installer will guide you through the rest of the setup.
4. Confirmation
Once the installation completes, the RMM agent will be running on your machine, and our support team will automatically receive the information needed to assist you.
